Stable Assistant

The Stable Assistant provides care for horses under the guidelines of the Equine Program. Performs skilled tasks needed to maintain the facilities of the Harriet Howell Rogers Riding Center. Supervises student workers engaged in similar activities involving the maintenance of the facility and the care of the horses as needed. This position is a full-Time, 12-month position, flexible schedule to include weekends.  Typically, five days a week 7 am to 4 pm with one-hour lunch break with rotating weekend shifts.  Summer hours may be 6 am to 3 pm depending on weather.

Stable Management Fellow

The Stable Management Fellow is a full time exempt position that supports the riding program faculty and staff in the horse care and management of the Riding Program.  This position is a 12-month staff position that will include weekend responsibilities and evening responsibilities as needed.

Assistant Trainer/Barn Manager

Hiring for a position at a Hunter jumper (USHJA certified trainer) and Warmblood breeding facility in North Texas. Assistant trainer for fast growing lesson program and barn manager. Some riding necessary but this is not primarily a riding job. Must have some experience (will train) with English riding, teaching beginners to intermediate riders with an emphasis on horsemanship.Paid per student, per lesson plus base pay for barn management work. Also would be responsible for feed orders, helping with vet and farrier when needed, and keeping lesson horses in excellent condition. Not a stall cleaning job but also would be able to pitch in for any tasks needed. Dog friendly, nice efficiency apartment available, and reduced board for your own horses possible.
