The EAP continues to be one of the USHJA’s premier education programs, and it is made possible in part by the wonderful host locations who support the program. Hosts have the opportunity to bring members, who are excelling within the sport, into their facility for this unique and gratifying educational experience.
USHJA offers Regional Training Sessions in areas where an appropriate host facility applies and that best serve the demographic population and geographic balance of those interested in participating in the program.
The host facility does not have to be a show facility to be considered. Private farms, boarding facilities, universities, prep schools, et cetera may apply, as long as the facility can meet USHJA Emerging Athletes Program host facility requirements.
Host facilities are determined on an annual basis by evaluating applications, geographical balance, ability of the facility to meet USHJA/EAP requirements, variance of dates, constituency opportunity and Emerging Athletes Program Committee recommendations with final review by the USHJA Executive Director.
The USHJA has extended the 2021 host application deadline to July 1, 2020. Facilities interested in hosting a 2021 EAP Regional Training Session or the 2021 EAP National Training Session/Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Nationals may complete the below form and return it to the USHJA Education Department by mail, fax or email to the addresses listed within the application.
