The Adult Horsemanship Quiz Challenge is open to USHJA members in good standing above the outreach level who are 21 years of age or older as of December 1 of the current competition year.
Participants must register for and complete the Level One and Level Two HQC Quizzes, which consist of multiple choice and true/false questions based on the HQC Study Guide, no later than September 1. The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the moving of the inaugural 2020 USHJA Adult Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Nationals to a virtual format.
Originally set to be held at the Capital Challenge Horse Show on September 25-27, the event has been adjusted to be held virtually due to the health and safety of USHJA members during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Adult HQC Nationals will take place online between October 26 – November 7.
24 adult amateurs will be invited to compete in this year’s virtual competition, which will be a multi-phase event that puts the top scoring participants, who advanced through HQC Levels One and Two, to the ultimate test.
This year's events will consist of a written exam and a final practicum that requires participants to demonstrate their mastery of practical horsemanship knowledge. A variety of prizes from USHJA's generous sponsors will be awarded to the top participants in each Nationals, including Boy-O-Boy Bridleworks, CWD and Parlanti.
