USHJA 1.00/1.05m Junior/Amateur Zone Jumper Championships

The USHJA 1.00/1.05m Junior/Amateur Zone Jumper Championships provide riders with a competitive team experience and an opportunity to earn Zone Horse of the Year points in the 1.00/1.05m Junior and Amateur Jumper sections. The Championships are held by zone and consist of both team and individual competitions.  

To qualify, riders must submit an application and accumulate at least 20 points in their respective section(s) at USEF-licensed competitions featuring fence heights corresponding to their section, achieved with the horse/rider combination recorded on their application, and within the qualifying period. View the calendar for specific dates and deadlines related to each Championship set. Additionally, riders must fulfill all other eligibility and qualification criteria specified in the Championship Specifications.

Chef d'Equipe

The Chef d’Equipe is a recognized volunteer of each USHJA Zone who provides support at team competitions throughout the year. As the leader of the team, the Chef d’Equipe will assist their Athletes in navigating Jumper Championships and understanding expectations, while creating a cohesive team environment. The Chef d’Equipe is the team representative and liaison between competition officials and their athletes. They are responsible for providing information and communications concerning the competition, as well as implement strategies to generate the best results with their team. Interested individuals are requested to review the Chef d’Equipe job description and submit a completed application to the USHJA Zone Liaison 60 days prior to the start of the applicable Jumper Championship. Applications are reviewed and voted on by the applicant’s respective Zone Committee.
