The USHJA Foundation contributes funds to supplement select USHJA programs as well as grants and scholarships.
We are proud to support the following USHJA programs:
MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program (EAP)
The EAP was created to provide opportunities for young riders to advance their education in their pursuit to become knowledgeable horsemen within the hunter/jumper industry. During the five-day Regional Training Sessions, riders have the opportunity to work with top riding clinicians and some of the country’s leading stable managers, where instruction focuses on flatwork, gymnastics, related distances and coursework as well as an intensive stable management curriculum that incorporates proper care and grooming, horsemanship skills, and barn management.
USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge (HQC) Grant
The USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Nationals is a multi-phase event that puts the top scoring participants, who advanced through HQC Levels One and Two, to the ultimate test. HQC Nationals, formerly known as the HQC Finals, consists of a written exam, a horsemastership/identification exam, and a final practicum that requires participants to demonstrate their mastery of practical horsemanship knowledge. Twenty-four individuals will be invited to compete in person at the HQC Nationals
