When: April 1 to May 1
Who: There will be one team per Host Barn which can consist of members from both Upper and Futures teams. To be eligible for awards, a team must consist of 1 IEA Coach and at least 3 team members.
What: Each Hosts Barn must take the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Practice Quiz between April 1 to May 1 to be eligible for awards. At the end of the 30-day challenge, the top three scores for each team will be averaged to provide an overall score. The top ten scoring teams will be awarded ribbons at the IEA Hunt Seat and Dressage National Finals.
In addition, participants can give their team an edge with bonus points when they take the official Horsemanship Quiz Challenge quizzes. Participants who take the Level One and Level Two HQC quizzes will receive 10 bonus points for each level they pass. Those bonus points will then be added to their Practice Quiz Score.
In the event of a tie, the fourth-highest team member’s score will be added to the team average. If the teams are still tied, the fifth-highest score will be added; this will be added until the tie is broken.
