USHJA Foundation: Their Stories Start With You!

Bequests and Estate Plan Giving

Provide for the future of our sport.

Remembering the USHJA Foundation with a bequest from your estate will help sustain and strengthen our sport in years to come. You can make a bequest by including language in your will or living trust leaving a portion of your estate to the USHJA Foundation or designating the USHJA Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement accout or life insurance policy.

Some of the advantages of creating a bequest include:

  • A bequest costs nothing now, yet gives you the satisfaction of knowing you have provided for the hunter/jumper sport in the future
  • You retain control of and use of your assets during your lifetime
  • You may modify your bequest if your circumstances change
  • Giving through your estate plan can generate a charitable estate tax deduction

When making your estate plan, you may choose how your bequest will benefit the hunter/jumper community.  Choose the All-Inclusive (unrestricted) Fund to support all of the work of the USHJA Foundation. Unrestricted funds are extremely valuable because the Foundation can use them to flexibly meet the future needs of the USHJA and the hunter/jumper sport. You may also choose to restrict your donation to a specific program that you are passionate about.

If you would like to discuss donating all or a portion of your estate to the USHJA Foundation, email foundation@ushja.org or call Penny Brooks at (859) 225-6736.
