USHJA Launches Puissance Challenge Fundraiser to Benefit Equestrian Helmet Safety Initiative

Barns Encouraged to Host a Puissance Challenge between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31

Lexington, Ky.—Oct. 1, 2020—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association, through its Foundation, will host a Puissance Challenge Fundraiser from October 1 through October 31, 2020, to benefit the Equestrian Helmet Safety Initiative. All proceeds raised through this fundraising challenge will benefit helmet safety research, conducted by the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab.

The Puissance Challenge Fundraiser is a barn challenge open to all levels of riders where riders can compete from ground poles to over 4'. Each rider that participates will rally a sponsor to support them, or can sponsor themselves, for a minimum donation of $25. Try to reach the USHJA’s fundraising goal of $2,000 for each participating barn, or set your own goal for your barn's total raised amount and see where your barn stands on the Puissance Challenge Leaderboard. Participating farms will be ranked first on dollars raised and second on the height of the obstacles jumped.

To participate, interested barns or trainers must submit an Intent to Participate Form, which includes barn information, divisions to be offered and a fundraising goal. Once a barn's Puissance Challenge has concluded and all funds have been collected, submitted results detailing each participant's name, their highest level/division completed and their money earned will be added to the Puissance Challenge Leaderboard.
