Specifications are the established rules for every USHJA program, class or championship. These individualized guidelines are developed and reviewed annually by the program's corresponding USHJA committees to align with developments in the industry and changes needed to sustain growth in the sport. The committees are tasked with upholding specification policies that ensure safety and integrity for our members and their horses, provide transparency for show managers on program format and scoring, and preserve the core values of all levels of the sport.
