USHJA Opens Host Applications for 2023 National, Zone and Educational Programs

Lexington, Ky.—April 12, 2022—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is now accepting online applications from competition managers wishing to offer USHJA championships, special classes and other programs at the zone and national levels in the 2023 competition year and beyond. Host applications for all programs will close June 1, 2022.

The USHJA requires applications from competitions and facilities looking to host the following programs, all of which are available for application through the online application system:

National Programs

  • 2023 USHJA International Hunter Derby Classes
  • 2023 World Championship Hunter Rider Events, including the 2023 West Coast Spectacular and Central Spectacular
  • 2023 USHJA Outreach Competition
  • 2023 USHJA Outreach & Affiliate Championship - East
  • 2023 USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic for Amateurs
  • 2023 USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championship - Central
  • 2023/2024 USHJA 1.0/1.05m Child/Adult Zone Jumper Team Championships
  • 2023/2024 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby Championships
  • 2023/2024 USHJA Young Jumper Championship
  • 2023/2024 USHJA Hunter Team Challenges
  • 2023/2024 USHJA 3’3 Hunter Seat Medal Finals
  • 2023/2024 EMO Insurance/USHJA 3’3 Jumping Seat Medal Finals
  • 2023/2024 USHJA Adult 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal Finals
  • 2023/2024/2025 Markel/USHJA Zone Jumper Team Championships
  • 2023/2024/2025 Markel/USHJA Platinum Jumper Championships

  • 2023 Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National and Regional Training Sessions

New to the line-up of programs looking for hosts in 2023 are the USHJA Outreach & Affiliate Championship - East, USHJA 1.0/1.05m Child/Adult Zone Jumper Team Championships, USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic for Amateurs, and expansion of the USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships with a Central competition.

Applications for all of these programs are due June 1, 2022, with the exception of Outreach competitions. Competitions wishing to offer Outreach may apply at any time throughout the year.
