USHJA Opens Applications to Host 2025 National, Zone, and Educational Programs

Lexington, Ky.—April 2, 2024—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is now accepting online applications from competition managers wishing to offer USHJA championships, special classes and other programs at the zone and national levels in the 2025 competition year and beyond.

The USHJA requires applications from competitions and facilities looking to host the following programs, all of which are available for application through the USHJA Member Account:

National and Regional

  • 2025 USHJA International Hunter Derby Classes
  • 2025 USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Events, including the 2025 West Coast Spectacular and Central Spectacular
  • 2025/2026 USHJA Hunter Team Challenges
  • 2025/2026 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby Championships
  • 2025/2026 USHJA Amateur Hunter Championship
  • 2025/2026/2027 Sallie B. Wheeler/USEF/USHJA Hunter Breeding National Championships, presented by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Oare
  • 2025/2026/2027 USHJA Young Hunter Pony Championships
  • 2025 USHJA 1.0/1.05m Junior/Amateur Zone Jumper Championships
  • 2025/2026 EMO Insurance/USHJA 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal Finals
  • 2025/2026 USHJA 3'3" Adult Jumping Seat Medal Finals
  • 2025/2026 USHJA 3'3" Hunter Seat Medal Finals
  • 2025/2026 USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic for Amateurs
  • 2025 USHJA Outreach Competitions
  • 2025/2026 Outreach Festivals


  • 2025/2026 Zone Horse of the Year Championships in all Zones (does not include Zone 2)
  • 2025/2026 Zone-Specific Programs (Equitation and Horsemanship Championships)
  • 2025 Zone Handy Hunter Challenges in Zones 1, 4, 6, 7, and 9
  • 2025/2026 Zone 10 NAYC Selection Trials


  • 2025 MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional and National Training Sessions
  • 2025 Instructor Credential Live Workshop and Examination Host Facility

Applications vary depending on the program. Competitions wishing to offer Outreach and facilities applying to host the Instructor Credential Live Workshop and Examination Host Facility may apply at any time throughout the year. Applications for all remaining events are due June 1, 2024.
