USHJA Launches New Online Member Account and Updates to Membership Levels

Lexington, Ky.—Dec. 15, 2021—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the launch of a new personalized, interactive digital member experience and online member account for the 2022 competition year. The process to join or renew USHJA memberships has also changed, in conjunction with the launch, with all renewals and applications being directed to ushja.org.

“We have launched this new digital experience for our members,” said Mary Knowlton, president of the USHJA. “These changes provide an intuitive experience for members to access their benefits and navigate their account."

The USHJA has developed a powerful personalization engine that allows members to customize their member experience specifically to their individual membership needs. This new digital experience allows all members to create a tailored and unique profile starting with the new membership renewal process.

On December 7, members began to receive a welcome email with a direct link to view their new online USHJA member account. Members will then need to verify their identity and select a username and password to access their new online member account and finish the renewal process.

Active/Competing members planning to compete in USEF-rated competitions must renew their US Equestrian membership separately through usef.org. In addition, horse registrations, transfers, leases and name changes will now need to be completed through both USHJA and US Equestrian.

Key features coming to the new digital member experience throughout 2022 include a new online member account with easy access to profile details, member benefits and discounts; a universal shopping cart where members can quickly and easily pay for membership, program enrollment, horse registration and more in a single transaction; the ability to add the USHJA membership card to Apple, Google or Samsung Wallet; access to a comprehensive and adaptive competition calendar that can be synched to members’ personal devices; and the Family Manager feature where family members can be organized together and save time by accessing all of their USHJA activities in one place.

December will also see an update to the USHJA membership levels with Education/Non-Competing and Business Memberships. These updates allow the USHJA to tailor memberships to individual and business-specific needs.

“We are pleased to announce the Education/Non-Competing and Business membership levels,” said Kevin Price, executive director of the USHJA. “The goal of offering these membership categories is to better define our levels of membership so that members and potential members can more easily identify the correct level of membership to meet their needs. With these new membership levels, USHJA will able to offer memberships to those seeking educational opportunities, non-competing participation and business affiliation."

We strive to meet the needs of every member, not only through competition but also through education and experiential opportunities. These membership levels allow us to meet the needs of non-competing members and business organizations."

The Education/Non-Competing Membership, formerly the Associate Membership, is designed for members who are not competing in USEF-licensed competitions but want to participate in USHJA educational opportunities and receive all other benefits of USHJA membership throughout the year. The name change better reflects the benefits of this membership level with no other changes, and the price remains $35 annually.

The Business Membership, new for the 2022 competition year, helps businesses build and strengthen working relationships with each other, allows business professionals to engage with the industry, and helps businesses build long-term relationships with the USHJA and its members. For $250, businesses have access to benefits including subscriptions to USHJA member communications, trade show booth discounts at USHJA-managed events, advertising discounts in USHJA publications, a listing in a business directory on the USHJA website, and the opportunity to offer USHJA member benefit discounts and one educational webinar per year, as requested by USHJA.
