“So much has happened since the USEF approved the USHJA as the official recognized Affiliate Organization for Hunter and Jumper,” said USHJA President Mary Knowlton.“From new competitions to educational and developmental programs to recognition awards, we are proud of all USHJA has accomplished for the Hunter/Jumper industry!”

Plans for the coming year include a variety of communications highlighting the organization’s accomplishments and recognizing many of those individuals who played major roles in making them happen. Other plans include a new 20th anniversary logo to be used on USHJA merchandise, ribbons and awards, and 20th anniversary commemorative items; video tributes including historical photos and memories; champagne toasts at select horse shows and events; and other surprises.

The celebration began at the Annual Meeting with the presentation of a highlight video. Each month in 2024, video shorts will be unveiled and distributed via email and social media. Each video will feature interviews with significant figures in the Hunter/Jumper industry, as well as photos or videos from the USHJA’s first 20 years.

“We are so excited to have this opportunity to celebrate the USHJA’s first 20 years and pay tribute to many of the people who helped initiate new programs for the benefit of us all,” said Kevin Price, USHJA Executive Director. “Throughout the year, we will continue to have an eye toward the future and we invite everyone to share with us their thoughts on what else USHJA can do to help our sport.”
