Lexington, Ky.—May 30, 2025—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association proudly earned three American Horse Publications Equine Media Awards during the AHP Cowboy Up! Lone Star Seminar Equine Media Conference in Dallas, Texas. The awards recognize USHJA and its staff for their work in print editorial publishing and multimedia in 2024.
In the category of Equine Media Industry Electronic Publication, USHJA In Stride won for the IHSA Special Digital Issue, produced by editor Tricia Booker and Equine Network. The digital-only issue, published in May 2024, featured coverage of the 2024 IHSA National Championships, with news reporting and photography by Booker, as well as student writing and photography contributions.
In Stride also earned top honors in the category of Editorial Human-Animal Bond Photograph for Booker’s photo of Gigi Phillips with her mount Thunderbird, published in the September 2024 issue. The moment captured Phillips after receiving the high-score Junior Rider honor in the 2024 Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships.
Published bimonthly in print and digitally, In Stride magazine is the official publication of the USHJA and is a benefit exclusive to USHJA members. The USHJA also placed second in the Nonprofit Equine-Related Video category for a video created to promote and build awareness of the Platinum Performance/
USHJA International Hunter Derby and Green Hunter Incentive Championships. The video was produced by Joshua Mims with footage captured by videographers Rachel Milewski and Impact Media.
