Lexington, Ky.—July 9, 2026—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is proud to announce the creation of the Linda Andrisani Award, a new honor established to recognize an active USEF "R" Licensed Official who best exemplifies the judging qualities for which Linda Andrisani was widely respected throughout her career.
Known for her integrity, deep knowledge of the sport, enthusiasm, and exceptional attention to detail, Andrisani set a standard of excellence that continues to inspire licensed officials across the hunter and jumper industry. The award was donated by friends of Linda to honor her legacy and recognize individuals who demonstrate those same qualities in their service to the sport.
The Linda Andrisani Award may be presented annually to an active USEF “R” Licensed Official who is a member in good standing and who has officiated within the 12 months preceding July 31 of the current year. To be eligible, an individual must have held a USEF “R” license for a minimum of 15 years. No more than one recipient will be honored each year during USHJA’s Evening of Equestrians Awards Banquet. The award is not required to be presented annually and may not be awarded posthumously.
All active USHJA members are encouraged to nominate a deserving individual for the new award, as well as for a number of other Annual Awards, by July 31.
