Nomination Period Open for USHJA Zone Committee Member Elections

Lexington, Ky.—Jan. 2, 2024—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce that the nomination period for the USHJA Zone Committee member elections is now open in each of the 12 USHJA Zones. Senior Active or Senior Associate members in good standing are eligible to participate in the nomination and election process for their Zone Committee.

USHJA Zone Committees are each made up of 9 members. This includes four representatives (two designated Hunter and two designated Jumper) elected by the Zone membership, two members appointed by Affiliate Member Organizations (with the largest number of members), and three individuals appointed by the USHJA President.

Nominations for Zone Committee members will close on March 1. To nominate someone, members can fill out their Zone's nomination form here or by visiting Zones and Affiliates and selecting their Zone.

After careful review of all nominees, the USHJA Zone Nominating Committees will set the slate of candidates. Elections will open on May 15. Ballots and biographies of nominees will be posted to the USHJA Zone webpage where members will be able to review and vote for candidates. Elections will close July 1.

When the new committee members begin their terms, the USHJA Zone Council will be repopulated with the chair and vice chair of each of the zone committees.
