Nomination Period Open for 2025 USHJA Board of Directors Election

Lexington, Ky.—June 1, 2025—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the opening of the member nomination period for the 2025 USHJA Board of Directors election. From June 1 through June 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. ET, the Nominating Committee is seeking nominations from the membership for two Director At-Large Athlete positions: one for an individual meeting the criteria for the Hunter Athlete seat and one for the Jumper Athlete seat.

Senior Active/Competing and Senior Education/Non-Competing members in good standing are eligible to participate in the nomination process. Members may nominate themselves or others, and may nominate a single individual for both Athlete seats if they meet the criteria. Please note that there are specific eligibility requirements to qualify as an Athlete. Only individuals who meet the Hunter and Jumper Athlete criteria outlined here will be considered.

In addition to the two Athlete seats, there will be elections for the designated Zone seat and the designated Affiliate seat. These seats follow a separate nomination process with nominees submitted by the Zone and Affiliate Councils, respectively.

After careful review of all nominees, the Nominating Committee will recommend two candidates for each open seat on the Board of Directors. The final slate of candidates, as prepared by the Nominating Committee, will be released in November, ahead of the election during the 2025 USHJA Annual Meeting in December.
