Evie Moore's Recognized Riding Academy Wins John Deere Tractor as Part of NTRA Equine Member Benefits Giveaway

Lexington, Ky.—Oct. 26, 2020—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association congratulates Evie Renée Moore and EvRMoore Equine on winning a John Deere X330 Lawn Tractor as part of a giveaway for Recognized Riding Academies through the NTRA Equine Member Benefits partnership with the USHJA.

“Congratulations to Evie Renée Moore and her team at EvRMoore Equine. We hope you enjoy your new John Deere X330 Riding Lawn Mower, courtesy of the John Deere Equine Discount Program!” Fritz Widaman, vice president of NTRA Advantage, said. “We have enjoyed partnering with USHJA on this promotion and look forward to continuing to support future events.”

Students were able to nominate their USHJA Recognized Riding Academy for the giveaway by writing to the USHJA to show how their RRA promotes horsemanship, sportsmanship, and is preparing them to be a well-rounded equestrian.

Moore was just about to start teaching a lesson when she learned that she had won the tractor.

“When I opened the email, I truly could not believe what I was reading and started to cry!” she said. “I was so excited and grateful to the USHJA, NTRA and my clients for the nominations.”

With her dream of operating a riding facility, Moore moved from Michigan to North Carolina in 2015 after purchasing land that became EvRMoore Equine. She has since built a training, boarding and lessons stable. Moore has expanded the farm from five to 16 stalls and from 14 to 25 acres. She has added pastures and paddocks, fencing, an all-season riding ring with lights and made other improvements.

Horsemanship is at the heart of her business and her riding philosophy includes using dressage basics to teach hunter and jumper riders.

“I am a strong believer in the importance of horsemanship both on and off the horse,” Moore said. “I felt that becoming an RRA would not only show my clients that I am dedicated to their equine education, but would also hold me (and EvRMoore Equine) accountable for creating dedicated riders who will become the future of our sport."

Launched in 2017, the USHJA Recognized Riding Academy Program acknowledges lesson programs, riding facilities, equestrian schools, and other types of educational equestrian programs that emphasize horsemanship and sportsmanship, promote safety and offer introductory hunter/jumper lessons. These programs create a foundation for well-rounded equestrians who benefit the entire sport. Benefits of becoming a Recognized Riding Academy include a listing on the USHJA website, discounts with USHJA partners, access to a marketing tool kit, networking opportunities and more.

The NTRA Equine Member Benefits partnership with USHJA, which was announced in September, enables members to take advantage of great benefits through the NTRA's program.

“In addition to giveaways like this, our partnership with USHJA allows us to offer all USHJA members exclusive equine discounts at all of our well-known partners—John Deere, Sherwin Williams, Office Depot and Big Ass Fans,” Widaman said. “There is nothing more exciting than to give back to the equine industry and its hard working members!”
