Applications to Host 2027 USHJA Competition and Education Events Now Open

Lexington, Ky.—March 2, 2026—The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is now accepting applications from competition managers interested in hosting USHJA championships, special classes, and educational programs for the 2027 competition year. Applications for most events are due May 1, with select programs accepting applications year-round.

Competition managers and facilities are invited to apply to host the following events through their USHJA Member Account:

Classes and Regional Events

  • 2027 USHJA International Hunter Derby Classes
  • 2027 USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Events and Hunter Spectaculars
  • 2027 Zone Handy Hunter Challenges
  • 2027 Zone Hunt and Go Team Challenges
  • 2027 USHJA Outreach Classes
  • 2027 USHJA Outreach Festivals

National Programs

  • 2027/2028 USHJA Amateur Festival - East, including the USHJA Amateur Hunter Championships - East and USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic for Amateurs - East 

Educational Programs

  • 2027 MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional and National Training Sessions
  • 2027 Instructor Credential Live Workshop and Examination Host Facility

Application deadlines vary depending on the program. Those wishing to offer Outreach classes or Instructor Credential Live Workshop and Examination Sessions may apply at any time throughout the year. Applications for all remaining events are due May 1.

Managers must start a new application for the new year, and the online application process allows managers to apply for multiple programs and locations easily. By entering the competition ID at the beginning of the application, fields from previous submissions will auto-populate, reducing time spent on applications. Interested hosts may access the application by logging in to their USHJA Member Account at my.ushja.org and selecting "USHJA Host Application for Programs."
