Adult amateurs now have the opportunity to test their horsemanship knowledge in the USHJA Adult Horsemanship Quiz Challenge!
The Adult Horsemanship Quiz Challenge is open to USHJA members in good standing above the outreach level who are 21 years of age or older as of December 1 of the current competition year.
Participants must register for and complete the Level One and Level Two HQC Quizzes, which consist of multiple choice and true/false questions based on the HQC Study Guide, no later than September 1. The top-scoring participants will be invited to Adult HQC Nationals, an in-person competition consisting of hands-on practicum testing as well as a written exam.
For more information on the Adult HQC, eligibility and requirements, please review the Adult HQC Specifications.
24 adult amateurs will be invited to participate in this virtual competition, which will be a multi-phase event that will put the highest-scoring adults on the HQC Level One and Two Quizzes to the ultimate test.
The event will consist of a written exam, an interview, and a final practicum that will require participants to demonstrate their mastery of horsemanship knowledge across a variety of topics. Prizes will be awarded to the highest-scoring participants in each phase, as well as to the overall top finishers.
