The Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships returns to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, August 14-15, 2026.
New in 2026!
The inaugural International Hunter Derby Championship Team Competition will take place during the Classic Round on Friday, August 14.
- Who? – International Hunter Dery Riders can formulate a team of three riders:
- One Tier I rider (link to the Tier I list)
- One Tier II rider (link to the Tier II list)
- One Junior, Amateur, or Tier II rider sitting 100th or below in the series money won rankings.
- What? – Teams will combine their scores from the International Hunter Derby Championship Classic Round for an overall team score. Teams will be competing for additional Jack-Pot prize money.
- Where? – The Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park.
- When? – Team scores will be calculated concurrently during the Championship Classic Round on Friday, August 14.
- How? – Each team rider will use their score earned from the IHD Championship Classic Round. The order of go will be a random draw. Riders with multiple horses must use their first draw horse in the order.
- Team Entry Fee – $5,000 for all three team riders
- Prize Money – the team entry fees are placed into a jack pot, and 95% of that pot is paid to the top three teams. 5% of the pot is placed back into the International Hunter Derby program.
