Las Vegas, Nev.—Nov. 13, 2025—The 2025 Marshall+Sterling/USHJA National Championships crowned its first section champions as the Green Hunter divisions concluded at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. Fresh off Tuesday’s $25,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby win, French and Valentino BF captured the Grand Green Hunter title as riders across all Green Hunter classes competed for a total of $17,000 in prize money.

Sarah Moberg, of Menlo Park, California, and Trouvaille claimed the title of champion of the Green Hunter 3’ Division and were awarded the Green Hunter 3’ Division Perpetual Trophy, donated by Tapestry Farm and The Struve Family. Together, Moberg and Trouvaille placed first in the $500 Green Hunter 3’ Welcome and second in the $1,000 Green Hunter 3’ Stake.
Owned by Isabel Dyckerhoff, Trouvaille has been learning the ropes in the 3’ division since he came under Moberg’s purview last year. “We imported him about a year ago, and he has just been learning how to do the 3’ classes. He's really grown this year,” Moberg said. “We're super proud of him, and he stepped up to the 3’3” Juniors with [Dyckerhoff], too. He's doing a really great job.”
Moberg describes him as a trustworthy partner at the atmospheric South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. “He is so brave,” Moberg said. “A lot of horses are spooky in indoor venues, and he's just so brave. I know I can always trust him to take me to the other side.”
Kari Swainston, of Layton, Utah, and Outspoken, owned by Outreach Backstage Pass recipient Stacy Nelles, went home with the reserve champion ribbon.

Continuing their winning streak, the USHJA 3'3" Green Hunter Championship and Green Hunter 3'3" Division Puissance R' Trophy donated by Steve and Lisa Hankin went to John French, of Wellington, Florida, and Valentino BF, owned by Branscomb Farms, LLC. The pair also earned blue ribbons in the $2,500 Green Hunter 3'/3'3" Classic and the $1,000 Green Hunter Incentive 3'/3'3" Stake. For their efforts, Valentino BF and French were also awarded Grand Green Hunter and High Score Green Hunter for collecting a score of 90 in the Stake.
“I’ve never ridden the horse before [Monday.] KC Branscomb called me—her rider, Jill Humphrey, who normally rides Valentino had an injury— and asked if I would come,” he said of how the partnership came to be. “My show year was over, and I was in Thermal last week judging. I thought this would be fun, to come to this horse show, come to Vegas…It’s a great show, they do a wonderful job with the awards and presentations. I think a lot more East Coast people should come out here and try this, they would have a great time.
Collecting reserve champion was In The End, owned by Lynn Olson, with Mia Campf, of Aurora, Oregon, in the irons.

Piloting Olivia Aul’s Cheers!, Molly Graham, of Carlsbad, California, claimed the USHJA 3’6”/3’9” Green Hunter Championship after taking blue in the $2,500 Green Hunter 3'6"/3'9" Classic and Handy. The duo also tied with French for the High Score Green Hunter award with a 90 in the Handy.
“I couldn’t be happier, it’s everything I could have wished for and more,” expressed Graham. “Norm is my heart horse. I’ve worked really hard, and I’m just so proud of how far he’s come. He’ll have a break now, and then he’ll do the Junior Hunters with his owner, Olivia Aul, and this is actually her last horse show as a Junior too. So it’s his last Green year and her last Junior year, so it’s a really special moment for all of us.”
Claiming reserve champion was Bailey Fuller, of Phoenix, Arizona, with Steve Weder’s SWS Cora after the pair topped the $1,000 Green Hunter Incentive 3'6"/3'9" Stake.
