Work alongside our USHJA Certified Trainer at Tennessee’s only USHJA Recognized Riding Academy learning safe teaching and training methods for beginner up to advanced riders, groom and assist training quality hunters and jumpers, and help at horseshows. Learn to work with youngstock and stallions, as well as help during breeding and foaling season.
Assist with training young horses for hunter breeding classes, learn about course design and setting gymnastics, and expand your knowledge of how to manage a hunter/jumper facility. Duties to include some stalls and feeding, turn in and turnout, tacking and cooling out horses for trainer, assisting with day to day operations, helping organize and run our on-site USHJA Outreach Shows, assisting with our USHJA Recognized Riding Academy programs, grooming at home and possibly at shows.
For the right applicant, some riding outside of lessons may be included. Opportunity to lesson and learn from nationally recognized professional at a beautiful, top facility. Some showing opportunities may be available for the right individual.
Housing and small scholarship available to excellent candidate. Internship is 6-10 weeks depending on start and stop dates of your academic year. Applicants must carry own health insurance and be members of USHJA with SafeSport training completed.
