  • The USHJA Foundation is pleased to award the 2019 Gochman Family Grant to Sofia McCoy of Hampstead, Maryland; Eddyn Molden of Middleton, Virginia; and Alexandra van der Woude of Warrentown, Virginia. The grant will provide these three young equestrians with the experience of a lifetime at the 2019 USEF Pony Finals presented by Collecting Gaits Farm, which will be held August 6-11, 2019.
  • The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association opened the USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge, an online quiz that tests participants' knowledge about horse anatomy, horse care and health, riding theory, stable management, and more horsemanship topics. Open to USHJA members (at any paid membership level) 21 and younger as of Dec. 1, 2018, the quiz offers participants a chance to qualify for the in-person HQC Nationals, which offers $4,000 in training grants and is held alongside the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session.
  • The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association is pleased to announce the dates, locations and clinicians for the 2019 Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program. Applications to participate in one of 10 Regional Training Sessions nationwide, open to riders ages 25 and under who are proficient at 1.10-1.35m jumper courses, will open Monday, February 4. Select sessions will offer a 3-foot section to introduce riders of all ages to the program.
