Zone 12 Horsemanship Challenge Clinic & College Program Presentation

The Zone 12 Horsemanship Challenge Clinic will be held at the William C. Clark Equestrian Center (WCCEC) in Anchorage on August 1, 2015. Mr. Robert Cacchione, founder and executive director of Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA), will be the judge/clinician for this fun and educational event. In addition, he will give a presentation on college equestrian programs.

Mr. Cacchione established the IHSA organization in 1967. IHSA provides collegiate riders of all skills the opportunity to compete individually and as teams in equestrian competition, both hunter seat and western. It was founded on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her riding ability or financial status. Students ride horses that are furnished by the host college and chosen by drawing lots. Contact Barbara Dey
for more information on both the clinic and the presentation.
