Cast Your Vote for Equestrian and Horse of the Year

Your votes are an integral part of deciding which of the nation's leading riders and horses will be named the USEF Equestrian and Horses of the Year.  


Make sure you place your votes today. Voting will run through midnight ET December 30, 2013. Winners will be named on January 11th during the 2014 USEF Annual Meeting as part of the 2013 USEF Year End Awards Gala.

USHJA Holiday Schedule

The USHJA offices will be closed for the Christmas Holiday from Monday, December 23 through Friday, December 27 to share the season with our families. The office will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1 to celebrate the New Year.

Winners of Inaugural Young Professional Ranking System Announced

The USHJA Young Professional Ranking System nationally and regionally ranks young professionals (USEF competition ages between 21 and 35) based on their competition merits in the hunter and jumper rings. This new program includes five sub-systems: three for jumper riders and two for hunter riders. Riders receive points throughout the competition year based on their show results. Through this system, the USHJA hopes to promote and recognize the accomplishments of young professionals.


Jumper Rider System: Andrew Kocher of Missouri earned $32,008


Mini-Prix Rider System: Andrew Kocher of Missouri earned $60,750


Grand Prix Rider System: Kent Farrington of Florida earned $439,681


Hunter Rider System by Points: Hope Glynn of California earned 29,484 points


Hunter Rider System by Money Won: Elizabeth Boyd of South Carolina earned $151,056

Spectacular Hunt Gala Table Sales are Now Open!

Dine ringside as some of the best hunter horse and rider combinations take to the challenging course under the lights in the International Ring. Be sure to stop by the Gallery after the class where the fun and festive atmosphere continues with drinks and dancing.

Reminder the 2014 Pre-Green Incentive Enrollment Is Now Open 

There are already several Stake classes listed on the 2014 calendar running through September, with more being added weekly. Enrollment for the 2014 Series is now open.


Annual Enrollment Fee:

* Opening Date of Enrollment - February 1 of each series - $350
* February 2 - June 1 of each series- $550
* June 2 - November 30 of each series - $750


Enrolled horses will be eligible to compete in the PGIP Stake classes, qualify for the 2014 Championship and be included in the National Standings. Money won program tracking lists honor horses by age and gender, as well as the top Thoroughbred and American-Bred horses. Rider recognition will be based on overall total money won.

USHJA International Hunter Derby 2013-14 Series 

The USHJA International Hunter Derby Program is going strong with many horses now enrolled and accumulating money won toward the National and Regional tracking lists, as well as the Championship Qualifying list.


A horse may compete in any International Hunter Derby without being enrolled in the International Hunter Derby Program but the standings include only those horses enrolled in the program, and the riders of enrolled horses. Please enroll before you compete, this ensures your being eligible for regional and national awards AND to qualify to compete in the 2014 International Hunter Derby Championship!


Annual Enrollment Fee: $200 for the 2013-14 Derby Series which includes competitions starting June 2, 2013, through November 30, 2014.


A minimum of 60% of all enrollment fees collected in each region will be paid out to the top six horses on each regional Horse Money Won list at the conclusion of the 2013-14 series in November 2014.
