2009 SmartPak/USHJA Trainer Symposiums

Trainer Symposiums offer attendees a rare opportunity to participate in practical training sessions and round table discussions with top professionals in the industry. Each symposium features three full days of expert clinicians working with students in each of the three main USHJA riding disciplines: hunter, jumper and equitation. Schedule Updates:
The Trainer Symposium in San Juan Capistrano, CA has been canceled.

There will be a Trainer Symposium October 25-27, 2009 at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, Texas. The following clinicians will be teaching at the three-day event:
Hunters: Sandy Ferrell
Equitation: Jeff Cook
Jumpers: Melanie Taylor

The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center will host a Trainer Symposium November 6-8, 2009 in Buffalo, New York. United States Show Jumping Team chef d’equipe George Morris will be the presenting clinician. Click here for registration, schedule and local hotel information.

Requirement for Trainer Certification:
The USHJA Trainer Certification will begin in June 2009. As part of the requirement for certification, applicants for the program must attend a SmartPak/USHJA Trainer Symposium within one year preceding application.
