USHJA Announces New Staff Hires

Effective October 3, 2005, 4 new employees will join the staff at USHJA. The new staff will be responsible for the implementation of the new programs USHJA will offer in 2006, continued committee liaison responsibilities, assisting the members and officers in the continued development of the hunter/jumper affiliate activities as well as the coordination of various educational clinics and seminars to benefit the USHJA members.
Susan Dotson, Executive Director
Susan is a native of Kentucky and has been in the horse industry for most of her life. She owns and operates her own boarding facility in Lexington, KY and has extensive experiences in buying, selling and breeding horses. She comes to us from the USEF where she served as the Director of the Hunter/Jumper Department for the past six years.
Melanie Fransen, Director of Sport Programs
Melanie has been working for the USHJA for the past year as the Executive Assistant and will now fill the role of Director of Sport Programs. Melanie is from Chicago and has been competing on the "A" circuit for over 15 years. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and previously worked for the USEF for two years as the Administrative Assistant for the Hunter/Jumper Department.
Whitney Neidert Allen, Director of Marketing and Development
Whitney comes to us from the USEF where she worked for seven years as the Assistant Director of the Hunter/Jumper Department. She competed in the hunter ring for ten years and owns two horses. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Sports Management from the University of Kentucky and will be graduating this fall.
Crystal Beiland, Assistant Director
Crystal also comes to us from the USEF Hunter/Jumper Department where she has worked as the Administrative Assistant for the past four years. She also worked in the Breeds and Western Department as well as the Membership Department. Her extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the National Federation will prove to be a huge asset to the Association.
Jill Magee Insko, Assistant Director
Jill is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She comes to us with experience in the hunter/ jumper and thoroughbred industries. Her knowledge of the equestrian world and workings of large breeding and show barns will benefit the Association staff and members greatly.
