Junior/ Young Rider Show Jumping Applications are Due
June 8^th

Athletes wishing to be considered for a 2011 Zone Junior or Young Rider Show Jumping Team for the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) must complete and return the application no later than June 8th. Late applications will not be accepted. The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY will host the 2011 NAJYRC July 27- 31.

Competition Standards Resource Guide

New competition standards will be in effect on December 1, 2011 for all Licensed USEF Competitions. The USHJA Competition Standards Committee has designed a new Resource Guide to assist in the understanding of these new requirements for each Licensed Competition by rating or jumper Level. The USHJA Competition Standards Resource Guide can be found on the USHJA website under the rules tab. In addition, the new HJ rules for competition standards, that will be incorporated into the USEF Rulebook for 2012, are listed. Outreach Competitions

The goal of USHJA Outreach Competitions is to provide a minimum standard for local and non-recognized competition. Outreach competitions receive the added benefit of participating in the USHJA Outreach Medal, USHJA Outreach Hunter Challenge and USHJA Jr. Hunter Challenge competitive awards programs. USHJA Seeks Award Nominations

The USHJA is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Jane Marshall Dillon and The Lifetime Achievement Award was first presented in 2008 to honor members who dedicated their lives to furthering the hunter/jumper discipline on a National platform and whose involvement in the sport and the USHJA has benefited the industry.

The Jane Marshall Dillon award was created in 2010 to recognize the dedication of equestrian teachers within the hunter/jumper discipline who have devoted their lives to instilling the values of horsemanship, integrity, and hard work in their students.

USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals – 2011

The final Derby in the 2010-11 Qualifying Series will be held June 5th at the Devon Horse Show (May 26-June 5, 2011). The top 75 horses on the money won qualifying list, plus horses tied for the 75th place, will be invited to compete in the USHJA International Hunter Derby 2011 Finals, August 19-20, 2011, provided that the horse has earned a minimum of $1,000.

On June 15, 2011 USHJA will send invitations to compete in the USHJA International Hunter Derby 2011 Finals to the recorded owners of the qualified horses on the Derby money won list. If your horse is one of those top 75 please look for your invitation to compete in your mail and email starting June 15th. Entries are due July 15th. If a horse is unable to compete, the next available horse on the money won list will be invited to compete.

WCHR Active Membership List

WCHR participants are able to confirm their membership status before competing at a WCHR Member Event. A current active membership list which includes the current designated region and competing category is available on the USHJA/WCHR website. The WCHR membership list will be updated weekly each Tuesday by 5pm. Please remember that all region and category changes must be made by June 1, 2011 to count for this year. Participants must be active WCHR members to accrue WCHR points. If you feel your name should be on the list, please contact Kim Knotek or Christina Murphy to verify your membership status or join online.

The USHJA is now offering standard Trainer Certification Program Clinics (TCP Clinics)as well as Trainer's Symposiums. Attendance at a recognized USHJA Trainer Certification Program Clinic will count towards the enrollment requirements for the Trainer Certification Program.
