The Jumper Working Group Report

As part of the new USHJA governance structure came the formation of the Jumper Working Group (JWG) and creation of several jumper Task Forces. USHJA Jumper Members, do you know who your Jumper Working Group members are? What are the Task Forces within the Jumper Working Group? What projects are in the works for jumpers? The purpose of this update is to provide you with the latest information and encourage your participation.

At the USHJA Annual Meeting, the Jumper Working Group met numerous times during which they discussed and finalized the inaugural 2013 USHJA Children's and Adult Amateur Regional Championships, and also approved the formation of specific Task Forces to address issues particular to the USHJA Jumper membership.

During their January meeting, the Jumper Working Group approved the membership of these Task Forces and each Task Force is ready to address the needs of the USHJA Jumper Membership working under the auspices of the Jumper Working Group.

The Jumper Working Group Task Forces are:

The Children Adult Jumper Task Force chaired by Jumper Working Group member Jeff Campf.

The Young Jumper Task Force chaired by Jumper Working Group member Britt McCormick.

The NAJYRC Task Force chaired by Jumper Working Group member Michele Grubb.

During their February meeting, the Jumper Working Group reviewed the recommendations of the Zone Councils for the four Children's and Adult Amateur Jumper Regional Championships and after discussion the JWG submitted their recommendations to the USHJA Executive Committee for final approval.

Please see the USHJA website for additional details on the Jumper Working Group.
