USHJA Championships Pay Out Record Prize Money

Both the International Hunter Derby and the Pre-Green Incentive Championships exceeded expectations with total payouts of $173,500 and $157,990, respectively. A combination of guaranteed base prize money, entry fee addback and in the case of the Pre-Green Championship, the addition of enrollment fees, resulted in the two Championships together paying over $330,000. This year also brought a record number of Derby entries with 89 horses competing and 110 Pre-Green horses walked through the in-gate! Qualifying for both 2014 Championships is underway and we're looking forward to an even bigger turn-out next year!

2013 Pre-Green Series Continues

The 2013 Championship may be over but the year-end awards for the 2013 Pre-Green Incentive Program are still up for grabs. Money won is tracked in 10 different categories through November 30. There are PGIP Stake classes on the calendar during September and November; all money won counts toward the series awards and participation in each Stake class counts as a qualifying class for the 2014 Championship.

For more information visit our Pre-Green Incentive page or contact Kelley Douglas at (859) 225-6717.
