San Juan Capistrano, CA----- June 7, 2015----- On a sunny Saturday afternoon with a spectacular backdrop, John Bragg bested a field of 28 to take top honors in the 2015 $25,000 USHJA World Champion Hunter Rider West Coast Hunter Spectacular, presented by Valencia Saddlery, at the Blenheim June Classic I in San Juan Capistrano, CA, aboard Laura Strasburg's Social Hour.

Riders Qualify for International Hunter Derby Championship; Entries Due July 22IHDEntry

The International Hunter Derby Championship is set for August 13-15, 2015, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. Qualifying for the 2015 Championship ended June 1, 2015. All entries intending to compete in the Championship must be entered no later than July 22, 2015

 

Congratulations to all of those who qualified!

 

The Championship prize money topped $180,000 in 2014, and once again 80 percent of the entry fees will be added to the guaranteed $100,000 to create the total prize money purse. In addition, the Derby Challenge will offer $10,000 in prize money. The more horses that enter, the higher the total prize money becomes! We're looking forward to another great year!

Pre-Green Incentive Championship Offers Exhibitors Great Prize Money and Bonus RewardsGreenBOnus

The USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Championship, which consists of three rounds of competition, will celebrate its third anniversary at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, August 11-13, 2015. All entries intending to compete in the 2015 Championship must be entered no later than July 22, 2015. To qualify for the 2015 Championship, enrolled horses must compete in a minimum of two USHJA Pre-Green Stake classes at competitions starting between December 1, 2013, and August 5, 2015. 

 

Enrollment in the 2015 Pre-Green Incentive Program is still open and makes your horse eligible for Pre-Green Stake classes across the country, as well as the 2015 Pre-Green Incentive Championship.

 

The Championship prize money topped $186,000 in 2014, and once again 65 percent of annual enrollment fees and 50 percent of the entry fees make up the total prize money. In addition to great prize money, exhibitors will be able to earn additional prize money through a variety of bonus awards.

Junior Riders Qualify for 2015 Hunterdon Cup Equitation Cup ClassicHunterdon

Top equitation riders from across the country have qualified for the 2015 USHJA Hunterdon Equitation Cup Classic, sponsored by Intermont Equestrian at Emory and Henry College, which takes place on July 6, 2015, at the U.S. Junior Hunter National Championships - East Coast in Devon, PA.

 

      Congratulations to all of the junior riders that have qualified. We look forward to seeing you in Devon, PA!

 

Named in honor of George Morris and his farm, Hunterdon, the Hunterdon Cup brings together competitors who have won a USEF Medal, ASPCA Maclay, USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, or Overall WIHS Equitation Classic during the qualifying year, and a rider may win the title only once. The three-round class combines the precision of equitation and handiness of hunters over a course set at 3'6".

Last year, Caitlin Boyle, a 17-year-old from Hampshire, IL, took the Hunterdon Cup title, aboard Michaela Kennedy's 14-year-old Mecklenburg gelding, Loredo. Past winners have included Lillie Keenan, Genevieve Zock, Sarah Milliren, Catherine Tyree, Taylor Ann Adams, and many more.
