USHJA Youth Sportsman’s Award Nominations

USHJA nominations for the 2011 USEF Youth Sportsman’s Award will open May 1 and are due to the USHJA office by October 1.

The Youth Sportsman’s Award, which identifies potential future leaders in the equine industry, is open to youth candidates who demonstrate an ongoing commitment and dedication to the USEF and USHJA, by promoting the equestrian sport, exhibiting characteristics that exemplify positive sportsmanship principles and who serve as a role model for his or her peers. Applicants may participate at any level of competition, including local, state or national levels.

2011 Annual Meeting Destination: NEW ORLEANS

The time has come to start gearing up for the 2011 USHJA Annual Meeting presented by Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau. The 2011 Annual Meeting will be held December 5th-8th, at The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New Orleans, LA.

This year’s Annual Meeting will feature two new award ceremonies, exciting affiliates programming, numerous presentations and much more. Texas Trainers Symposium

Advance registration closes Wednesday, May 4 for the Trainers Symposium in Katy, TX on May 9-10, 2011. The Symposiums are offered to everyone - not just trainers. Trainers Symposiums count toward the professional requirements for the USHJA Trainer Certification Program.

The USHJA is now offering Trainer Certification Program Clinics as well as our standard Trainers Symposiums. Attendance at a recognized USHJA Trainer Certification Program Clinic will count towards the enrollment requirements for the Trainer Certification Program.
