 USHJA Foundation Awards Standings Now Available
On Line

USHJA is pleased to announce that the USHJA Foundation Awards Standings are now available on the USHJA website. The USHJA Foundation Awards were created to recognize the accomplishments of equestrians at B and C competitions. These competitions have been automatically enrolled in the Foundation Awards program with no additional charge to the shows or exhibitors.  Individuals will be required to be active members of both USHJA and USEF.  Additionally horses must have an annual or life recording with USEF. It is our goal to increase the awareness of B and C competitions and to increase this level of competition throughout the United States. 2007 USHJA Affiliate Awards Deadline Extension
 ___________________________________________________________________________

USHJA is extending the deadline for the USHJA Affiliate Awards Program. Organizations must renew their membership or join before April 30, 2007 to be eligible to submit award winners. 2006 was the inaugural year for the USHJA Affiliate Awards Program. 21 USHJA Affiliate Organizations participated in the program. There are 47 USHJA Affiliate Organizations already signed up for the awards program for 2007. Don't miss the opportunity to have your affiliate organization be a part of this special awards program.

USHJA Owners Committee Update

The USHJA Owners Committee asked for your feedback on what horse show amenities are important to you. The Owner’s Committee would like to thank everyone for the time they took responding to our request for your feedback on amenities at horse shows.  Not only did we get great ideas but many members took a great deal of time to explain their thoughts and how it pertained to their show area and needs.

Here is a summary of the email responses.  This is in order of frequency of response:

Scheduling of classes and timeliness = 8

Safe schooling areas                        = 6                                     

Bathrooms                                      = 5                                                   

Food (healthy and affordable)         = 4

Footing                                           = 3
