USHJA Salutes the Sponsors and Donors of the WCHR Palm Beach Hunter Classic Spectacular

The USHJA and USHJA Foundation would like to thank all the 2012 WCHR Hunter Spectacular supporters. This year's event was held in honor of Peter Wetherill. In October of 2011, the USHJA and the USHJA Foundation established a first-of-its-kind trophy to honor the life and legacy of Peter and to recognize the WCHR "Hunter of the Year". The inaugural Peter Wetherill Cup was presented to Come Monday owned by Jon and Tammy Williams and Davlyn Farms. The Beresford Gallery, a WCHR Awards Donor, provided an original oil head study painting of Come Monday for Jon and Tammy to commemorate Come Monday's accomplishments. Come Monday, along with all of the WCHR champions throughout the week, donned beautiful custom coolers provided by Blue Ribbon Blankets by Royal Rider, the Official Cooler sponsor of the WCHR.

A very special thank you to the supporters who purchased tables and sponsored coolers for the 2012 event. Your support provided the USHJA and the USHJA Foundation with the opportunity to make this year's event truly spectacular and your contributions will provide funding for the Horseman's Assistance Fund, scholarships, grants and USHJA programs.

USHJA and the USHJA Foundation would also like to thank the WCHR Committee, the staff of ESP, David Burton and Mark Bellissimo for their assistance in helping make the 2012 USHJA WCHR Hunter Spectacular a success.

USHJA Committee Interest Form Online Now

USHJA in keeping its commitment to create greater opportunity for our members to become involved in the governance of our sport, has developed a new committee interest form that allows members to better express their desire to serve on committees, their areas of interest and their experience. As the association develops a new governance model providing a greater balance of representation of USHJA's hunter and jumper constituents this will be an important component. USHJA has launched this new online form to ensure members are aware of how to communicate their interest and have the time to submit it prior to committees being reseated at the end of this competition year. There are approximately 500 volunteers that serve in the USHJA governance structure and while that is a large number of people, USHJA cannot guarantee a committee seat for everyone who expresses an interest in serving. To obtain Committee Interest forms please visit the USHJA web site.

Zone Points Reminder

Please remember as the competition season enters full swing to be sure to check your points. In order to accrue points riders, owners and trainers must be a current members of USHJA and USEF, and the horse must be USEF recorded and USHJA registered.
