USHJA Celebrates Big Milestones for Riders

USHJA would like to congratulate John French and Peter Pletcher for surpassing the Half Million Dollar mark in the Hunter Rider Recognition Standings! They join pros Kelley Farmer and Scott Stewart, the two riders who first achieved this milestone only last year.

We also celebrate Richard Fellers and Aaron Vale, who are the newest members to the elite ranks of the Million Dollar Club for jumper riders earning this amount at USEF licensed competitions since USHJA's inception in December 1, 2005. They join Margie Engle, Kent Farrington, Wilhelm Genn, Todd Minikus, Tracy Fenney and Beezie Madden.

USHJA wishes all these fine athletes continued success.

Over $3 Million Dollars Awarded in USHJA International Hunter Derbies to Date!

USHJA wishes to sincerely thank all the show competition managers across the country for their increasing support of the International Hunter Derby Series and Finals. Since its inception in 2008 the popularity of Derby programs has steadfastly grown largely in part to the generous support of competition managers throughout the US. To date more than $3 Million dollars has been awarded! Visit the International Hunter Derby pages on our web site to learn more about this exciting program!

EAP Regional Clinics Presented By Dover Saddlery
Continue to Win Praise

Bounds Showtime Arena in Deerfield, WI played host to clinician Cynthia Hankins and Stable Management expert Karen Golding on June 18-21 and in Hackettstown, NJ, Centenary College welcomed clinician Karen Healey and Stable Manager Sarah Baumgaertner June 21-24 for the next set of the Emerging Athletes Program's regional clinics presented by Dover Saddlery.

The Regional Clinics' core mission is to instruct participants over the allotted four days in flatwork, gymnastics, related distances and course work, plus the intensive stable-management curriculum.

"This is a great program for young athletes, they really responded as a team. Although a few were not even sure how to hold a pitchfork or what their horses ate, I feel all improved and had fun. It was also a great experience for re-reminding me how much I enjoyed interacting with a horse!" Karen Golding said. READ MORE
