Committees
Zones
March 2007
As summer is nearing, we would like to announce some new and exciting
things happening in Zone 2. The Hunter Committee has made a few
changes and there are some exciting things going on. We plan on
having monthly communications with our members and we would love
our members to give us feedback and their input as well as any concerns
that any of you may have. You can send these via email to Melissa
Pylant at mpylant@ushja.org.
Zone 2 Committee
There have been some changes in the Zone 2 Hunter Committee.
We would like to thank Jim Rice for agreeing to become the new Chair
of the committee. We would also like to welcome Raymond Francis
who was elected unanimously as the new Vice-Chair.
USHJA/Winners Circle Super Clinic
Zone 2 will be having a Hunter/Jumper clinic at Suffolk County
Extension Farm in Yaphank, NY. This clinic is open to all Zone 2
members and features clinician Norman Dello Joio for our Jumper
riders and Danny Robertshaw for our Hunter/Equitation riders. If
you have any questions regarding this clinic please contact Jim
Rice at 516-322-0533 or Marianne Kutner at 917-892-7249. We hope
to see you there!
We would also like to see more clinics and forums held in Zone
2. Anyone who has ideas for this is asked to contact one of their
representatives on the Zone 2 Hunter or Jumper Committees. You can
find your committees at http://www.ushja.org/committees/zone2.shtml.
USHJA Foundation Awards
USHJA is proud to announce the inaugural year of the USHJA Foundation
Awards. The goal of the awards program is to recognize the accomplishments
of equestrians at the B and C level competition and to promote the
B and C level horse shows. This awards program is a separate program
from the USEF Horse of the Year Program. The USHJA Foundations Awards
are an additional and unique awards program that you are automatically
enrolled in by being a member of USHJA and competing in B and C
rated competitions.
Currently Zone 2 is doing very well in the points standings and
we encourage our members to check the website at http://www.ushja.org/awards/foundation.shtml
to see how they are currently doing.
Once again we ask all members to submit their feedback, input and
concerns to Melissa Pylant at mpylant@ushja.org.
We want to hear from you! Thank you and good luck to everyone in
Zone 2!
